By protecting and improving our environment, the communities where we do business and the students we serve, Sodexo makes every day a better day and every tomorrow a better tomorrow.

For Your Health Initiatives

Providing you with healthy options is something the The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Dining team proudly does every day. We help you select delicious, nutritious and satisfying meals, snacks and desserts by highlighting well-balanced menu choices and providing nutritional information and tips to help you make choices that fit your needs.

Mindful Icon

Mindful offerings meet stringent nutritional criteria based on the Dietary Guidelines for Americans.  Each meal part is limited in calories, has fewer than 30% of calories as fat, fewer than 10 % of calories as saturated fat, and is restricted in sodium, and cholesterol.  Chefs in our test kitchen develop recipes to meet these criteria in delicious fashion!  Look for the Mindful icon to indulge in the healthy and delicious items offered at each meal.

Gluten-Free Offerings

We will accommodate customers with foods made without gluten-containing ingredients and protected from cross-contact with gluten.  Many dining services provide separate areas or serving stations where exclusively gluten-free foods are provided.  Chefs work closely with customers to meet special needs such as a gluten-free diet.

Vegan Offerings

Vegan offerings contain no meat, fish, eggs, milk or other animal-derived products such as honey.  Look for the menu icon to find vegan items daily.

Vegetarian Offerings

Menu items with the vegetarian icon contain no meat, fish or poultry, nor any meat products such as soup base.  Our vegetarian offerings meet the needs of lacto-ovo vegetarians, and may include eggs and/or dairy products.

Campus Dietary Services

The Student Health Center physicians and nurse practitioners provide basic nutritional counseling for healthy eating and weight management.

MyFitnessPal is a website and smart phone app that can be used to track diet and exercise. Sodexo, University Dining and MyFitnessPal have partnered together to provide you with nutrition information for most of the foods you eat on campus. You can search for featured recipes in the database by scanning a barcode or typing in the name of the recipe you are looking for. It is a simple, user friendly way to keep track of what you are eating. All types of foods are in the database whether you are eating at the dining hall, retail location or taking your Simply to Go food with you. Using the MyFitnessPal is a great way to make sure you are choosing nutritious, balanced and mindful options when dining on campus.

The BITE app, which can be downloaded free on both iTunes and Google Play, provides site-specific information about Sodexo-run dining locations, including current menus and nutritional information. The BITE app also integrates with wearable wellness technology.  The app can be linked directly to Fitbit to give guests the ability to easily track nutrition as part of a comprehensive wellness overview.
